I'm flying!?

Today I learnt how to create a fake image. I enjoyed removing the background and adding the sky. I found it challenging to take a photo because I don't like taking photos. Next time I would try and shoot a hoop on the moon as my fake image.

What is media?

Today I was learning about media and how we constantly use it on a daily. I enjoyed adding different pictures to the background of my photo. I found it challenging to put the pictures to transparent. Next time I would change my photo I guess.

Where am I?

I see…People far and near, covering the entire wharf. Many boats parked up but only 2 I went on. I hear...Song’s echoing, Volunteers telling their story of each waka. I smell…The fresh food from every corner. I feel...The hard wood and rope while aboard the Ngahirika waka. Where am I?

Dream House Writing

This week we were working on dream writing. The idea of this piece of writing was to dream big, use your imagination and be creative while you write your dream house, vehicle, super power or menu. I chose to publish my dream house. My dream house would be four stories high with a fantastic view beyond the deep blue sea. With walls made of glimmering gold bars from top to bottom. You’d be up all night gazing upon the starring sky as you make your way into the jungle. It’s okay the monkeys don't bite. Every room has a different feature. The stars or observatory is located at the very top of the entire house. Don't mind the scientist up there. The Jungle is my second floor, filled with students I mean monkeys and more animals as well. The Underwater kingdom. Slap on some sea gear and explore the wonders of the sea. And so many other floors that are more crazy than the ones I’ve mentioned. Beyond the observatory is a floor that reaches 751 feet high above the clouds. A humongous backyard with a waterfall flowing with bubbly water. At the front of the house while you enter the gates is a fountain with delicious purple soda flowing out of it. Beware of the dragons as they are 7 feet tall, white as snow and with eyes blue like the sea. Though they aren't the only guards I have. There are 21 sentaurs, 3 dragons, 5 elephants and I think over a hundred garden gnomes protecting my entire house.

My name is Horowai. I am a year 8 student attending Matawai School. I have three older brothers, two younger brothers and two older sisters. I am Māori, and I’m from Te Karaka. I’m very good at art work including drawing and painting by using my own imagination. I enjoy reading different books

Animation Smiley Face

We learnt how to create an animation of any shape. Mine was a smiley face. I found it easy to create this outstanding creation. I found it hard to use up space. I really enjoyed having fun with making this shape animated. Next time I'd like o work on not using so much space for the shape.

Go Kart Derby Race

I learnt a lot from our derby race. One to be braver than before to go down steep hills. Second to build my confidence up when crowds watch me. I found it hard to ride down that steep hills, using my friends go kart. I found it easy to do it once again now that I've built that confidence up. I really enjoyed riding a go kart in my first go kart derby challenge. I had so much fun that day and everyone else did as well.
