Netiquette

We were learning all about Netiquette or Etiquette and what they mean. Netiquette means the correct and acceptable way to use the internet. And Etiquette means to having good manners and using them on the internet. I found it easy to copy and paste my character onto a google drawing. I found it hard to embed my work onto the web so I was able to post it onto my blog. I really enjoyed using Netiquette for the first time and exploring the things you can do while using it. Next time I'd like to work on making my sentences a little bit smaller or shorter. My blog post shows I am stepping up.

Collaborating Online

We were learning how to create a slideshow and present it on Spark Adobe with using motion, sound and music towards our characters.
I really enjoyed presenting my avatar in Spark Adobe and using sismo to include with the avatar.
I found it hard to put my slideshow onto my blog with the reflection to it as well.
 It was easy to use sismo to make my slideshow stand out more.
Next time I need to watch all the videos before posting my slideshow.
 Sisomo is about getting sight, sound and motion into a digital learning object (DLO).

Cyber smart, "SISMO"

I learnt that you can use sismo to create your own slide show and include other things like motion, music and sound to your character that you have created. The most challenging thing I found was sometimes you've muck up with the voice of your character and then you'd have to do it again. But what I really liked about it was the way the music combinded with the slide show and the sound went perfectly into the avator.

Adrenalin writing ( Buffalo,lions and squirrel)

Buffalo,Lions and the squirrel: I watched three basic videos and had to choose one particular video clip, which was the Three lions, one buffalo and the squirrel. After all three I wrote down what I thought were the key information in the videos and then published them onto a computer. While publishing every fact I had to go through and add more detail, to the written story to make it want the reader to read more. What I found hard was putting more detail into the sentences. Having a proper plan or brain storm to give me more ideas about the writing, that I missed in the videos. Our learning goal is to add more descriptive words that make my writing make more sense and to create more detail to hook the reader in.

Writing inquiry ( Keke Palmer)

          Keke Palmer: I found and researched the main facts or the key information to complete the puzzle of my writing inquiry. I really enjoyed presenting my artist in many exciting ways, so it looked more outstanding on the wall. Next time I'd like to work on the different colours that would match the pictures on the background, or to make it more outstanding by adding every main fact onto the poster. What I really found hard was going through other tabs, to write my information from the website to the poster on google drawings. Our learning goal was to use all the main facts that you have read.

Writing inquiry (Shawn Mendes)

      

                        Shawn Mendes: I searched and found the key information that I needed

                   to give lots more detail that my writing inquiry needs, I really enjoyed getting to know  

               my artist by information. But next time I'd like to work on the frame of the poster, to make it

             to the size of the picture in the background and to add more colour and lightness to the 

           picture. What I found really hard was the different pictures of my artist's form of art, I could not make up my mind if this fits that, or if that matches this, but I got there in the end and             finally finished. Our learning goal is to find the key information and summarise in your own words.

                                                  

Profile

My name is Horowai. I am a year 7 student attending Matawai School. I have three older brothers, two younger brothers and two older sisters. I am maori, and I’m from Te Karaka.

I’m very good at art work including drawing and painting by using my own imagination. I enjoy reading different books that create images inside my mind. My challenges are to remember my times tables when it comes to testing and to complete my reading challenges for this year. My goals are getting my adrenalin writing finished before the deadline.

I’m looking forward to finally finishing my second artist. I think I’ve achieved a lot in my home learning, like getting three days done or the whole week finished through each and every week.
