Five friendly things to do in Wellington

My favourite place out of the five is the Carter observatory. You learn about our star system and the many constellation of stars. You also learn and see the reaction of something to another. I enjoyed visiting the observatory when I was year 6 , I now know about our constellation of stars.

Writing Reflection

I learnt all about Zealandia and then put it into an imaginative piece of writing. We put the native birds and reptiles into our stories which connected together to form an amazing piece of writing. I found it easy to write about the surroundings of the birds and reptiles. It was easy to create a picture in the readers head which made them other love it or think it was hilarious. I found it hard to come up with ideas to put into my imaginative piece of writing. It was hard to think about a hook in my writing that would catch the reader's attention and make them want to read more. I really enjoyed being able to write about Zealandia and the native birds and reptiles of New Zealand. I enjoyed the laughter that my story had made for everyone who reads it. I was so proud of myself for completing the task of creating a piece of writing. Next time I’d like to work on collaborating with another person for ideas for my writing. I’d like to work on putting more detail in my writing to make it more descriptive writing.

Information Report

We were learning about Zealandia and the native birds and reptiles. We learnt more about the information in the text and put it all into an information report. I found out how many birds live in the Wellington eco-sanctuary and how they were extinct. I found it easy to search and find the key information about Zealandia. It was easy to create a metaphor poem that’s based on Zealandia. I also found it easy to create my half of an information report. I found it hard to get more ideas for my metaphor poem. It was hard to complete most of the task that Miss Dods gave to us. I really enjoyed getting to know more about New Zealand's native birds and reptiles. I enjoyed creating an outstanding visual poster that’s all about the surroundings of Zealandia. Next time I’d like to focus more about my work and work as a team to complete the final step.

Netiquette

We were learning all about Netiquette or Etiquette and what they mean. Netiquette means the correct and acceptable way to use the internet. And Etiquette means to having good manners and using them on the internet. I found it easy to copy and paste my character onto a google drawing. I found it hard to embed my work onto the web so I was able to post it onto my blog. I really enjoyed using Netiquette for the first time and exploring the things you can do while using it. Next time I'd like to work on making my sentences a little bit smaller or shorter. My blog post shows I am stepping up.

Collaborating Online

We were learning how to create a slideshow and present it on Spark Adobe with using motion, sound and music towards our characters.
I really enjoyed presenting my avatar in Spark Adobe and using sismo to include with the avatar.
I found it hard to put my slideshow onto my blog with the reflection to it as well.
 It was easy to use sismo to make my slideshow stand out more.
Next time I need to watch all the videos before posting my slideshow.
 Sisomo is about getting sight, sound and motion into a digital learning object (DLO).

Cyber smart, "SISMO"

I learnt that you can use sismo to create your own slide show and include other things like motion, music and sound to your character that you have created. The most challenging thing I found was sometimes you've muck up with the voice of your character and then you'd have to do it again. But what I really liked about it was the way the music combinded with the slide show and the sound went perfectly into the avator.

Adrenalin writing ( Buffalo,lions and squirrel)

Buffalo,Lions and the squirrel: I watched three basic videos and had to choose one particular video clip, which was the Three lions, one buffalo and the squirrel. After all three I wrote down what I thought were the key information in the videos and then published them onto a computer. While publishing every fact I had to go through and add more detail, to the written story to make it want the reader to read more. What I found hard was putting more detail into the sentences. Having a proper plan or brain storm to give me more ideas about the writing, that I missed in the videos. Our learning goal is to add more descriptive words that make my writing make more sense and to create more detail to hook the reader in.
